Inflation continues to trend lower while home prices continue to be supported by the ongoing dynamic of high demand and tight supply. Perhaps the biggest news this week has been the Fed’s two-day meeting in which they hiked its benchmark Fed Funds rate by .25%, their reason is to curb inflation. The current average interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is 6.79%, a decrease of 8 bases point compared to that time last week. -According to Bankrate
